Care Info
Slab Sticks are extremely durable and will last a lifetime. Still, it's important to take good care of your new tool.
- A quick kiss of a butane flame is all it takes to clean any residue that may accumulate on the tip of your Slab Stick. 99% ISO also works just as well.
- Scratches will occur through normal use. Light scratching can be removed with a grey scotch bright or 000 steel wool using some water and even, vertical strokes The only exception to this is anodized titanium, which should not be cleaned with anything abrasive.
- Brass sticks will develop a natural patina over time. It's important not to leave brass in a moist environment, as it will develop verdigris or sometimes rust.
- Titanium sticks with anodization may become dull through normal use. This is because a layer of oils/dirt has built up on the surface, affecting the thickness of the oxide layer. This is what determines anodization color, and if it's dirty it will not reflect light in the same way. To fix this, simply clean thoroughly with dish soap. You will be more than pleased with the results.
- It's not recommended to use Slab Spheres to cap a slurper or other quartz nail, as they can easily break glass or quartz.
- I take pride in my work and want to see them last a long as possible. If extreme damage occurs, please contact me on Instagram @kal.hooto.creations so we can arrange a replacement.
